The executive producer of the Batman franchise, including this summer’s The Dark Knight Rises from Warner Bros., Michael Uslan has been honored with CINE’s 2012 Trailblazer Award. “I grew up immersed in comics and my favorite then and now is Batman,” says Uslan. The filmmaker wrote about his comic obsession in his memoir “The Boy Who Loved Batman,” noting that he has always had a vision of bringing Batman to life in a realistic movie portrayal. Along with his production partner Benjamin Melniker, Uslan credits the genius of Filmmakers Christopher Nolan and Tim Burton and Production Designer Anton Furst for bringing success to the Batman films.
