Schneider Optics announces that Emmy-winning cinematographer Donald A. Morgan ASC has chosen Schneider’s Classic Soft filters for the new TVLand series, Retired at 35, starring George Segal and Jessica Walter.

Without a doubt, DSLR cameras have had a revolutionary impact on production technology and technique in a very short time. This is especially true for those involved in indie features, TV dramas, music videos and commercials. While the RED camera and its promised kid sister, the SCARLET, launched this bold new genre just a few years ago, DSLRs have since taken it to a new level.
Cinematographer Paolo Cascio chose to equip his Sony EX3 with OConnor's (a Vitec Group brand) O-Grips and CFF-1 Follow Focus for his work on Filmworks LA’s press conference, which kicked off a multi-pronged campaign surrounding Los Angeles production and support capabilities.
In keeping with Moore’s law, HD cameras have been getting smaller, better and cheaper at an accelerating rate. Nowhere has this been more apparent than with the blast of interest in DSLR still cameras for HD video acquisition. This sudden change on the camera scene has challenged designers and manufacturers of video support equipment to retool quickly, and it has catapulted some designers and producers of this gear to center stage, giving them a pivotal role in many new acquisition purchases.
