The California On Location Awards (COLA) celebrated their 20th year with a stellar awards show this past weekend at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. 

The Lonely Island is headed for the big screen!

Closing out this year's Produced By Conference was none other than Producer/Director/Writer Francis Ford Coppola (The Godfather, Apocalypse Now) who had some inspiring personal words to say to the filmmakers in the room.

Camera Operator of the Year Winners

The Society of Camera Operators (SOC)  recently announced the winners of the Camera Operator of the Year Awards in film and television at its 2014 Annual Lifetime Achievement Awards. Peter Taylor (Gravity) Wins Camera Operator of the Year for Feature Film and Don Devine (Mad Men) Wins Camera Operator of the Year for Television. (Both pictured above)

New Zealand Grant Increases

New-zealand-SMNew Zealand is pushing heavily to attract more productions and has come out with a new perk for filmmakers. The government recently announced changes to the structure and level of support for film and television productions, including raising the baseline screen incentive for international film and television production to 20%.
