Cinequest Mavericks Studio will produce, distribute and market film, television and new media. During the Cinequest Film Festival, which takes place February 23- March 7, the studio will announce its first slate of productions, casts and marketing programs.

Cinequest has also announced that Picture the Possibilities, a program that seeks to empower underserved youth, will launch in the summer of 2010 with a world premiere event. The program will challenge participants to incite change in their communities while providing participating youth with the tools, mentorship and training needed to translate their personal stories to film. At 10 global sites, participants will receive hands-on training in production, equipment, storyline development and social media technology. The film narratives produced by youth will in turn serve as a call-to-action to their peers, as well as global leaders.
