In search of lighter, smaller and less expensive gear, broadcasters and filmmakers flocked to the recent International Broadcast Conference (IBC) at the RAI Exhibition and Congress Centre in Amsterdam. This year’s IBC had an increase in attendance as many gathered for insights into the next wave of production.

The Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) held their prestigious Cineposium in Enghien-les-Bains, an enchanting city just north of Paris in the Val d’Oise region of Ile de France. With a long history of filmmaking; great cultural and economic support for productions of all kinds; and world-famous film festivals and markets; Paris was the ideal setting for Cineposium 2011.
Hurlbut Visuals Moves to New Facility

Cinematographer Shane Hurlbut, ASC, recently announced the move of his company Hurlbut Visuals to a new warehouse/office space on La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles, Calif. To celebrate the event, the DP held an open house at the new facility, inviting cinematographers, assistant cameramen, his Elite Team and a host of other entertainment industry professionals who share an interest in DSLR photography.
