After a successful run in New York, ShowBiz Expo launched a new trade show targeting the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, California. While the producers acquired the name and trademark from its previous producers, ShowBiz Expo 2009 had its own unique look and feel.

The show targeted a younger market that includes talent and filmmakers. The one-day event proved to be quite successful for upcoming filmmakers looking to break into entertainment.

The show offered a terrific lineup of industry panels, including "Perfecting Your Headshot and Getting it Done Right," " Voiceovers - Breaking into the Voiceover Biz" and "Top 5 TV Pitch Secrets Revealed." Other panels included sessions on postproduction, digital cameras, getting an agent and successful screenwriting, just to name a few.

MyActingSite.com, Actors Connection, Studio System and Media Management Systems were on hand to promote their services. Meanwhile, Fox Studios Production Services publicized its wide variety of services to the independent market. The Hollywood Production Center had a large, well-attended booth championing its full-service production offices while Cinelux Sound Services promoted its professional sound equipment available for rent. Motion Picture Marine displayed the Perfect Horizon camera-stabilization head and advocated for its use on land, sea and air.

The next ShowBiz Expo New York is set for March 28, 2010 at the New York Hilton.
