The runway met the red carpet during L.A. Fashion Weekend at Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood, Calif. on March 19–21, 2010. The event was produced by Mikey Koffman’s full service event production, public relations and marketing company, The Gallery L.A., which attracted large crowds and a handful of celebrities to the iconic Sunset Gower Studio lot. According to Vice President Sales/Marketing for Sunset Gower Studios Terri Melkonian, coverage for the event was captured by Showtime for its reality show “Real L Word,” in which Koffman stars in.

The event promoted the fall 2010 runway collections that were exclusive to Los Angeles and featured brand presentations, sponsor lounges and design suites tailored to appeal to the most influential trendsetters.  It was a packed house featuring a live DJ and an open bar with plenty of reporters on hand.

The festivities kicked off Friday with the debut of White Trash Beautiful, a new line for women by designer Nikki Lund and Bon Jovi Guitarist Richie Sambora. The biker chic collection featured the catwalk debut of 12-year-old Ava Sambora (daughter of Richie Sambora and Heather Locklear), who strutted down the runway as her proud mom snapped photos.

Saturday’s show, dubbed “The Green Initiative Humanitarian Fashion Show,” promoted sustainable living by showcasing eco-friendly collections. Event proceeds went to the Green Youth Movement for its conservation plans to plant one million trees in Los Angeles. The show featured three eco-friendly labels: Emily Factor, Lizzie Parker and Puridee.

Fashion Weekend’s Sunday finale offered fashion for men and women from designers Civil Society, Division E, Zanerobe and Buffalo David Bitton and closed with a wrap party.
