This year featured an exhibit hall with exhibitors including Azden, Marshall Electronics, Litepanels, Schneider Optics, Tiffen, Datavideo and Panasonic just to name a few, Apple and Adobe training sessions by Weynand Traning and hands on camera training by AbelCine along with a handful of useful conferences and events just off the exhibit hall floor.
In a special talk called “Raising the Digital Bar” Jacob Rosenberg, Director, CTO & Partner, Bandito Brothers gave an inspiring talk about working in the film industry. He said that young filmmakers coming into the film industry have an incredible opportunity because there are so many tools now available to them. He stressed that you need to get involved. "Be interested in things (filmmaking) and really mean it. Ask the experts and then follow up with them,” said Rosenberg. "Don't just say it, do what you say. And then, do it again hopefully for money."
Whether you wanted to explore more color correction options, learn about working with large-sensor cameras, build your own studio or just walk around the exhibit hall floor and test out equipment, DV Expo provided a nice setting to expand your mind and learn what’s new and most readily available.
