The Cine Gear Expo VIP party and awards presentation, sponsored by FUJIFILM and hosted by Ross “the Intern” Matthews from NBC’s “The Tonight Show,” was held in a VIP area on Chicago Street in Paramount Studios’ backlot after the exhibits closed on June 5.

During the event, Cine Gear Expo presented the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) with an anniversary cake for its members and guests in commemoration of the organization’s 90th anniversary. Recently-named ASC President Michael Goi, ASC and outgoing President Daryn Okada, ASC were both acknowledged.

President/CEO of Matthews Studio Equipment and 40-year industry veteran, Ed Phillips, received the Cine Gear Lifetime Achievement Award. Other companies were recognized for anniversary honors:  FUJIFILM - Motion Picture Division, 75 years; Band Pro, 25 years; Yellow Jacket, 25 years; Database Works, 25 years; British Society of Cinematographers (BSC), 60 years; and the Society of Camera Operators (SOC), celebrating its 30th anniversary.
Awards and prize packages were also presented to the winners of the Film Series that was held during Cine Gear Expo.
