This past Tuesday, June 16, the California Film Commission held their annual California Locations Reception at the London Hotel in West Hollywood, Calif., which was sponsored by Entertainment Partners.
Director of the California Film Commission Amy Lemisch headed the session with discussions on versatile locations coupled with the California Film and Television Tax Credit Program that the entire state of California ─ not just Los Angeles ─ has to offer.
A lavish breakfast buffet was presented in the London’s spacious ballroom where attendees had an opportunity to maintain and promote filming in the Golden State with the new California Film and Television Tax Credit Program.
Various California regional offices were on hand to promote their individual areas, such as Mary Cruse from Humboldt County, Sheri Davis from Inland Empire, Beverly Lewis from Placer County/Lake Tahoe, and Dave Wolin from Yosemite/Madera County ─ to name a few.
Lemisch also encouraged everyone to visit the California Film Commission website at www.film.ca.gov for detailed information on the new incentives and the opportunity to qualify for tax credit of 20 – 25-percent. The California Film Commission will begin accepting applications for the tax credit program as early as July 1, 2009 at 9:00 a.m
