AFM 2013 Screens Ron Howard’s Made in America

MadeInAmericaThe 2013 American Film Market (AFM) features an impressive who’s who of global industry talent, including many award-worthy film and television icons. One such talent is Oscar-winning Director Ron Howard, whose new music documentary Made in America (starring Eddie Vedder, Jay Z, Kanye West and many other notable musicians) will premiere among the 402 films showcased at this year’s event. AFM 2013 will include 321 market premieres and 75 world premieres in 30 languages from 51 countries, while the annual market, which launched in 1981, will host over 8,000 buyers and industry professionals from more than 70 countries.

This year’s AFM market premiere films include Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom (starring Idris Elba and Naomie Harris), The F Word (starring Daniel Radcliffe), Walking with the Enemy (starring Ben Kingsley), Half of a Yellow Sun (starring Thandie Newton and Chiwetel Ejiofor), The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby (starring Jessica Chastain, Viola Davis and James McAvoy), Night Moves (starring Jesse Eisenberg, Dakota Fanning and Peter Sarsgaard); Two Night Stand (starring Miles Teller), Love Punch (starring Pierce Brosnan and Emma Thompson), and Joe (directed by David Gordon Green and starring Nicolas Cage and Tye Sheridan).

Additional market films include Tar (starring James Franco, Mila Kunis and Jessica Chastain), Kiss Me (starring Jenna Fischer), Around the Block (starring Christina Ricci), Palo Alto (starring Emma Roberts and James Franco), Philomena (starring Judi Dench and Steve Coogan), McCanick (starring David Morse and the late Cory Monteith), Cas & Dylan (directed by Jason Priestley and starring Richard Dreyfuss and Tatiana Maslany), and Some Velvet Morning (directed by Neil LaBute and starring Stanley Tucci and Alice Eve).
