Shreveport-Bossier Film Office: Get 30% back on your production expenditures in Louisiana and 5% on your Louisiana Labor. It doesn't get any easier than that. Shreveport-Bossier is the place for your next production! Our cities are known for their rich history, Southern hospitality, diverse architecture, great locations, sound stages/infrastructure, and a festive environment which makes for a great combination for filming. The Shreveport-Bossier Film Office will make your productions easy with city support and ease of doing business. Come see for yourself why Movie Maker Magazine (Jan. '09) ranked Shreveport-Bossier the # 4 out of the top 25 cities in the U.S. for the best places to live, work, & make movies. Shreveport also offers a 2.50% sales tax rebate. New Louisiana Tax Incentives Summary: * Raises the production tax credit from 25% to 30% indefinitely. * Lowers the 10% additional Louisiana Labor Payroll Credit to 5% (essentially keeping the Louisiana payroll credit at 35%). * Clarifies that the additional 5% can be credited for only the first $1 Million paid to an individual LA resident on the production's payroll. * Gives productions the option of selling their credits back to the state for $.85 on dollar. * Makes new requirements for a branded Louisiana logo in the credits (but this will still be at the state's discretion) * Adds language that protects crew and vendors. * Excludes ALL state and local taxes as qualifying expenditures. * Eliminates the need for two LLC’s. One production LLC will now suffice. * Puts the application fee at .02% of 30% of the estimated Louisiana spend ($200 minimum/$5000 maximum).
