The Alaska Film Office is pleased to welcome new director, Dave Worrell! Contact Dave in our Anchorage Office at 907.269.8491 or Caryl McConkie in our Juneau Office at 907.465.5478. The regulations for Alaska's Film Production Incentive Program are now in place! Alaska has an aggressive program that allows applicants to earn up to 44% in a transferable tax credit on qualified production expenditures in Alaska. Eligible projects are broadly defined as film, documentary, commercials, and video projects. We require a minimum of $100,000 of expenditures in Alaska. We do not have salary caps, project caps or minimum principle photography or Alaska hire requirements. Though currently host to a number of documentaries and documentary series for major cable stations, as well as commercials and reality television, Alaska is now experiencing a whole new level of interest because of 44%! Producers are not only scouting Alaska for the obvious scenic landscapes, snow and ice—they are thinking much more broadly about other projects that might take advantage of our film incentives. Coming soon! Alaska Film Office will soon facilitate your access to Alaska locations, crew and services through Reel-Scout and Reel-Crew!
